Newsbreak: Clones just as cute as real thing

((Been meaning to post this for a few days now. First saw it on last week: Florida couple clones beloved dog for $155,000.

Oh, if you don’t care for the Fox News broadcast below, the CNN article above also has video. I picked the Fox News one mainly for the reporting, i.e. comedic purposes. Also most of the report is a tight shot of the clone trying to gnaw off his owner’s hand.))

Have none of these people seen The 6th Day? …This can only end in disaster.

Note how they mention they still have some of Lancelot’s DNA left; potentially, they could clone a whole army of dogs!

If that doesn’t worry you, read this.

And just for the sake of being thorough, here’s another article about Bernann McKinney’s Booger clones, which apparently was the real “first” dog commercially cloned (though I’m not quite convinced enough to bet money on it). This article’s worth a read; it has many interesting twists.

For the very first dog clone, we have to go all the way back to 2005. Meet Snuppy.
